I am a sucker for slot canyons! One of my favorites can be found in Zion National Park, called the Narrows. It was a different kind of hike for me, hiking within the river surrounded by the tall cliff faces really allows you to feel connected to the landscape, and the light within there is magical. It's one of those places where I left feeling amazed at the power of the water for creating such an amazing place, an occurrence that I have found myself thinking more and more of these days.
Just a quick word of caution, always check the weather before going into a slot canyon. You don’t want to get caught up in any kind of flooding.
