It was raining when we pulled into the empty parking lot of the Raufarhólshellir Lava Cave. As we cautiously walked into the cave to explore, we noticed that parts of ceiling had collapsed. While I was looking around, my wife Kylee went on ahead and there I was able to see to the composition of the photo. I asked her to stop moving and I crouched low. I wanted the low angle and shapes of the rocks to draw the eye towards the center of the light beam and the subject.
